More and more clients are asking for events that are demonstrably sustainable and inclusive. Agencies that lead the way in this strengthen their position and profile themselves as makers of the future.

Through our network of Green Ambassadors, we stimulate sustainable innovation and social inclusion. These professionals from IDEA agencies, educational institutions and partner organizations work on smart solutions in the areas of energy, mobility, waste, food and inclusivity and diversity.

Every quarter we organize a meet-up. In it, the Green Ambassadors share knowledge and exchange practical examples. This creates a powerful movement.

Measuring event footprint
IDEA encourages the use of practical tools for measuring the event footprint. This enables agencies to make the environmental impact of their events transparent and to improve it.

IDEA is a partner of BEFuture, a European acceleration program for a digital and inclusive future for the business events sector. Together with partners from five countries, we develop innovations with measurable impact – from CO₂ reduction to social inclusion.

In collaboration with Green Events and IDEA agency The Groundbreakers, IDEA works within this program on an Event Ladder for the business market; the so-called Event Ladder Business Events (DLZE). This ladder helps agencies and clients to make targeted sustainability improvements – from quick wins to structural innovations. IDEA members are actively involved in its rollout and application.
